Prime Minister Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with the Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez

 
 
 

During their talk Vladimir Putin and Hugo Chavez discussed trade and economic relations between the two countries, in particular in the context of preparing a possible visit by Hugo Chavez to Moscow at the invitation of the Russian President.

The two sides noted that the visit to Moscow by the Vice President of Venezuela, Ramon Carrizales would help to flesh out such a visit with substance.

The positive dynamics of military-technical cooperation was noted.
