After a meeting of the Government's Commission on High Technologies and Innovation, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin decided to test-drive one of the two Yo-Mobile cars shown to him in Novo-Ogaryovo, to President Dmitry Medvedev's Gorki residence, where a Security Council meeting was scheduled to be held.
"I'm not yet ready to make any final conclusions," Mr Putin told the Government Commission meeting. "I haven't driven it yet. I'll try it now. We are about to hold a Security Council meeting, and I want to drive this Yo-Mobile of yours to Dmitry Medvedev's residence and to show it to him," the prime minister said to ONEXIM Group CEO Mikhail Prokhorov, the mastermind behind the Yo-Mobile project.
"Will it take me there? It's not far. It won't fall apart on the way?" the Prime Minister asked. Mr Prokhorov assured him that nothing will happen to the car.
The residences of Mr Putin and Mr Medvedev are located ten kilometres from each other.
A five-door Yo-Mobile minivan and a three-door sports crossover coupe were delivered to Vladimir Putin's Novo-Ogaryovo residence near Moscow.
The Prime Minister decided to drive the sports crossover coupe. Andrei Biryukov, General Director of the Yo-Auto company, drove with him, while Mr Prokhorov drove the minivan.
