Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sent a message of greeting to the participants of the International Investment Conference of the Islamic Development Bank held in Kazan
The message reads in part:
«For centuries Russia and the Islamic world have been linked by strong traditions of mutual respect and fruitful cultural, trade and economic cooperation. The representatives of the large Muslim community in our country have always made a significant contribution to the development of such a broad dialogue.
It is heartening that today these relations have been given another positive impetus. We are steadily opening up new spheres of partnership in education, science, high technologies and investment cooperation.
I hope that your forum, taking place in the hospitable land of multinational Tatarstan, will contribute to further strengthening of direct contacts between the business communities and regions of our states and to the implementation of large-scale international projects».
