Transcript of the beginning of the meeting:

Vladimir Putin: Good afternoon, colleagues,

Our meeting today is a continuation in a series of consultations with the State Duma parties on our current interaction in the framework of the budgetary process and the initiatives in the economic and social spheres put forward by the Government and, of course, by the State Duma deputies, including the representatives of your party. I would welcome your opinion on our current work and perhaps we could discuss the longer-term perspectives.

Alexander Babakov: Yes. Thank you for this meeting. We understand that today's Government goals need to be finalized into law initiated by various parties represented in parliament. I think it is also important to use the resources of the political parties to consolidate society in tackling these tasks. Such ambitious tasks cannot be implemented if society is not unified by a single goal. These tasks can provide a unifying element.
