Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visits Moscow’s N. I. Pirogov First City Hospital

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visited Moscow’s N. I. Pirogov First City Hospital prior to a meeting on federal programmes to modernise national healthcare. The prime minister visited the reception area, examined the neurology department, and talked with doctors and patients.

The chief physician explained the reception procedures. Emergency patients are brought to the hospital by ambulances and are either sent for preliminary diagnosis or straight to intensive care. The hospital receives up to 60 emergency patients daily.

The neurology department has 120 beds for neurology patients and 50 more for patients with acute coronary heart disorders.

The diagnosis facilities are located on the first floor, including the hospital lab.

Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov, Minister of Healthcare and Social Development Tatyana Golikova, and Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin accompanied the prime minister on his tour.
