As part of his visit, the prime minister was shown the turkey processing cycle. The company's head Vadim Vaneyev said that Eurodon produces 30,000 metric tonnes of poultry meat a year.
"With the assistance of loans, there are plans to increase the amount of poultry meat produced in the Rostov Region alone to 180,000 tonnes a year," Vaneyev said, adding that this figure could be achieved in eight years. He also said that the group employs a total of 3,200 people, including 1,380 people working in the plant the prime minister was visiting. The average monthly salary is over 17,000 roubles.
Vnesheconombank Chairman Vladimir Dmitriyev, who accompanied the prime minister during his tour of the plant, said the bank plans to help the company by providing a line of credit. "Eurodon will receive an additional 17 billion roubles through a loan," Dmitriyev said. He said that the loan term is eight to ten years. The company had previously taken out a loan of 7.5 billion roubles, the bank's head said.
