From the high banks of the Amur River Vladimir Putin looked down to the Dormition of the Mother of God Cathedral and the embankment. Once down by the river the prime minister saw a group of young people playing beach volleyball. The prime minister went over to them and asked: "What's the score? Who's leading?" before joining one of the teams and serving the ball.
Then Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, Khabarovsk Territory Governor Vyacheslav Shport and Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Viktor Ishayev stopped by a summer café to buy some cold water.
