Following a proposal from the Samara Regional Duma and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian government has decreed an introduction of a second time zone in the Samara Region as of March 28, 2010, at 2 a.m. (local time in the Samara Region).
The Government of the Samara Region is responsible for making the necessary preparations to introduce the second time zone in the Samara Region and issuing notice to organisations and the general public, including public service announcements in the media.
