Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung exchange congratulatory messages on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two governments

Vladimir Putin's message reads as follows:
"The Russian and Vietnamese people are bonded by the ties of sincere friendship tested by time and a joint struggle for the independence and sovereignty of Vietnam. Our brotherhood in arms is immortalised in the memorial complex recently opened in Cam Ranh.
"I am satisfied to say that Russian-Vietnamese cooperation is successfully developing on all fronts - political, trade and economic, scientific and technical, as well as cultural. I am referring to a truly strategic partnership, and we are ready to apply the most active efforts in order for it to continue to be full of useful and mutually beneficial initiatives and projects.
