"Russian Orthodox Church dignitaries, members of other local Orthodox churches, government officials, members of public organisations, people engaged in science, culture and education, and foreign guests have all gathered here today. You will take part in an open and wide-ranging discussion of issues related to improving the Russian education system and strengthening the dialogue between the Church and the government in this important area.

I am confident that the responsible positions you hold, and your great experience, will play a significant role in young people's professional development and will help them strengthen their patriotic, spiritual, and moral values."
