Vladimir Karpov lived a long life filled with heroic events and creative accomplishments. He courageously overcame the difficulties that were his lot in life, lived through a crucible of difficult trials with honour, and added many bright pages to the fiery chronicle of the Great Patriotic War.
His enormous experience in life and on the front and endeavours to bring the truth about that war to his readers helped Mr Karpov fully reveal his literary talent and create a series of outstanding works.
The cherished memory of this wonderful man, a true patriot and Hero, will always remain in the hearts of his family, friends and colleagues, as well as all those who take pride in the glorious history of our fatherland.
