Mr Putin also sent a message to Ms Tymoshenko, which said in part:
"Please accept my cordial congratulations on the occasion of your birthday. I wish you happiness, well-being, good health and every success in your important work.
"I avail myself of this opportunity to thank you for the hospitality accorded to me and my colleagues in Yalta. It appears that the latest talks were quite detailed and productive."
