Prime Minister Vladimir Putin signed a number of executive orders of the Russian Government to issue federal-budget subsidies to defence-industry companies through 2009 in order to implement bankruptcy-prevention measures.

Under the federal directives, the Ministry of Industry and Trade shall issue subsidies to the following companies:

- the Azov Optical and Mechanical Plant: up to 281.3 million roubles;

- the Zvezda Electrical Engineering Plant in Sergiyev Posad, the Moscow Region: up to 90.7 million roubles;

- The Kuznetsk Radio Instruments Plant in Kuznetsk, the Penza Region: up to 59.77 million roubles.
