Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sent a message of condolences to Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao following the gas explostion at the Xinxing coal mine

The message reads, in part:

"Our heartfelt sympathy and condolences go out to the government and people of neighbouring China for the numerous victims of the massive explosion at the Xinxing coal mine.

"On behalf of the Russia Government, I would like to convey my sincere condolences to the victims' families, and I hope for a full recovery for those injured in the mining accident."
