Vladimir Putin sent a message of condolences to Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung following Typhoon Mirinae

The message reads, in part:

"We convey our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to Vietnam's Government and people for the many victims and massive devastation caused by Typhoon Mirinae, which tore through central and southern Vietnam.

"Our sincere condolences go out to the victims' families. We hope for a speedy recovery of those injured in the storm."
