Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to participants and guests of the 3rd Assembly of the Russkiy Mir Foundation
The message reads, in part:
The assemblies, traditionally hosted by the Russkiy Mir Foundation in cooperation with governmental bodies' representatives, businessmen, scientists and teachers, are of constant interest for various communities all around the world. This clearly proves that the decision to organize the Russkiy Mir Foundation was a timely initiative and a unique and sizable project in international cultural cooperation. Based on its numerous activities over the years, the foundation has built up vast experience and a great reputation. The accomplishments of the foundation specialists in promoting the Russian language, expand the Russian-language information network and establish Russian centers outside the country deserves the highest recognition.
"I am confident that the 3rd assembly will set its further priorities and continue to focus on reinforcing the cultural, scientific, business and educational links with our Russian compatriots and those eager to maintain a sincere and open partnership with Russia."
