Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sent a message to Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, congratulating him on his 60th birthday

The message reads, in part:

"You are making a great personal contribution to the development of the Russian-Israeli relations, which have become more versatile and dynamic. The renown you enjoy in international political circles is really deserved.

"I highly value the business-like and sincere dialogue that we have developed. I am willing to step up interaction between our Governments.

"I would like to reiterate Russia's commitment to establishing a comprehensive and fair peace in the Middle East, and to ensuring stability and security for Israel and all nations in the region."
