Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to organisers and participants in the 19th annual international congress on innovative technologies, oil and gas, industrial energetics and communications, CITOGIC 2009, in Ufa
The message reads, in part:
"Your forum has earned considerable prestige in the professional community and become a venue of involved dialogue between specialists, scientists, the authorities and business on ways to encourage innovation-based development of the Russian fuel and energy sector.
"This is especially important now that the Russian power industry has entered a fundamentally new stage - development of promising oil and gas provinces and mass introduction of energy-efficient and resource-saving technology."
