Mr Putin spoke by telephone with Saratov Region Governor Pavel Ipatov about the difficult situation that developed in Saratov as a result of the accident in the water supply system. He gave instructions to the Governor on measures to clear up the consequences of the accident as soon as possible.
The Governor promised that water supply would resume in Saratov by 12:30 p.m. and restored to full capacity within 24 hours.
