"Relations of strategic partnership between Russia and Vietnam are based on long-standing traditions of friendship and mutual respect. I am confident that the subsequent expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation in the economic, science-and-technical, cultural and other spheres matches the fundamental interests of our nations, as well as those of Asian-Pacific peace and stability."
