Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sent a message of congratulations to Tomsk Region Governor Viktor Kress on the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the region

The message reads, in part:

"The history of the exploration of Siberia, the creation of industrial giants and enterprises of the fuel and energy sector in this rich region of Russia would not have been possible without the ardent achievements of its residents. Many generations of them have contributed to the strengthening of Russia's industrial power, the development of its culture and education, and the completion of transport infrastructure.

I am confident that you will continue your work to the benefit of the Tomsk Region and the whole country."
