Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sent a message to the staff of Sheremetyevo International Airport congratulting them on the airport's 50th anniversary

The message reads, in part:

"It gives me great pleasure to see the company's dynamic development, due in part to its commitment to using the most cutting edge technological solutions and equipment, which corresponds to the most demanding standards in the transportation industry. Over 10 million passengers and tens of companies, which prefer comfort, safety and excellent service, turn to your airline every year. I believe that that is an achievement of the airport's staff, due to its professionalism and teamwork.

"I would like to wish you every success in realising your plans for a future development and modernisation of the Sheremetyevo complex."
