Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sent a message of congratulations to the artistic director of Moscow’s Satire Theatre, Alexander Shirvindt, on his 75th birthday

"As a magnificent actor, talented director, teacher, and inimitable storyteller, you have devoted your whole life entirely to art. You have achieved many real successes in the course of your artistic career. Every performance of yours on stage and screen becomes an event in its own right. These vibrant, consummate performances earn you the great affection of your audience.

It is gratifying that you devote a great deal of effort to your very own stage, the Satire Theatre, whose shows continue to be met with great success."
