"The State Traffic Inspectorate has come a long way over the years, growing into a core of Russia's traffic control system responsible for the safety of all road users.
"The department's officers have always had to handle a range of issues to enforce order and save people's lives. Their work is becoming harder now that traffic is growing busier every day. Their job is not only to monitor the roads and curb violations of rules, but also to conduct related educational activities raising public awareness and preventing problems."
