Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to the participants and guests of the 8th Congress of the Russian Builders’ Union

The message reads, in part:

"During the past few years, the Russian Builders' Union has grown into a prestigious professional association. While invariably demonstrating a well-balanced and constructive position, the Union has acted as the Government's reliable partner in resolving urgent economic issues and has asserted the social partnership and responsibility of the business community before our society. All these problems are key items on the forum's agenda.

I am confident that the congress will become a landmark event in the country's business life, and that recommendations and proposals developed during its work will be required in practice and will promote the development of the construction industry as one of the main branches of the Russian economy."
