Vladimir Putin sent a telegram to the editor-in-chief of Moskovsky Komsomolets, Head of the Moscow Union of Journalists, and member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, Pavel Gusev, on his 60th birthday

The telegram read, in part:

"You are in charge of Moskovsky Komsomolets, a team of talented professionals genuinely interested in their work. It is a testament to your creative energy, organisational ability, and authority within the journalistic community that MK has unstintingly set an example of successful work and remains an interesting, and much-needed newspaper."
