Vladimir Putin spoke over the phone with Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek of the Czech Republic on the initiative of the Czech side

Mr Putin and Mr Topolanek said they were satisfied with the resumed gas deliveries to Europe and the solution of gas-transit problems in general.

Mr Topolanek thanked the Russian side for its efforts to resume Russian-gas transits to Europe. Mr Putin informed the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic on specific parameters of Russian-Ukrainian agreements on gas deliveries to Ukraine and gas-transit terms.

The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic invited Mr Putin to visit Prague. Prime Minister Putin accepted the invitation with gratitude. Both sides agreed that the visit's deadline will subsequently be coordinated via diplomatic channels.
