Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Jose Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission

They exchanged opinions of the proposed gas crisis settlement.

Mr Putin called on the European Commission to facilitate the formalisation of the agreements reached during his meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.
