Prime Minister Vladimir Putin signed Resolution No 982, dated December 24, 2008

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin signed Resolution No 982, dated December 24, 2008, "On the Export Customs Duties on Some Types of Timber Exported from the Russian Federation to Non-Signatories of the Customs Union Agreement."

The Resolution amends Government Resolution No 795, dated December 23, 2006, "On Approving the Export Customs Duty on Commodities Exported from the Russian Federation to Non-Signatories of the Customs Union Agreement, and on Invalidating Some Orders of the Russian Government" (see the Collection of Russian Federation Laws, 2007, issue 1, entry 254; issue 7, entry 896; issue 16, entry 1917; issue 21, entry 2511; issue 45, entry 5503).

1. To approve the following:

a) Export customs duties on some types of rough timber exported to non-signatories of the Customs Union Agreement;

b) Export customs duties on some types of hardwood and precious wood exported to non-signatories of the Customs Union Agreement.

2. This Resolution will take effect on January 1, 2009, with the exception of Clause ‘b' of Point 1, which will take effect one month after the official publication of this Resolution.
