Vladimir Putin sent a message to Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, Abhisit Vejjajiva, congratulating him on his appointment

His message said, in part:

"I hope for fruitful cooperation to further consolidate the friendly Russian-Thai relations for the benefit of our nations, and in the interests of peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific Region."
