Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has signed Executive Order 1734-r, dated November 22, 2008, approving Russia's Transport Strategy through 2030. He has also instructed the Transport Ministry, the Economic Development Ministry, the Regional Development Ministry, the Industry and Trade Ministry, the Federal Tariff Service as well as the federal agencies concerned to ensure the implementation of the Transport Strategy through 2030.
The Executive Order recommends that the regional executive bodies, acting within their competence when drafting regional development programmes, stipulate measures to attain the goals formulated in the Transport Strategy through 2030.
