Prime Minister Vladimir Putin send a message of congratulations to Borut Pahor on his election as prime minister of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia

The message reads, in part: 

"I appreciate the high level of our relations with Slovenia as well as the trust and mutual understanding which accompany them. I am convinced that your direct involvement will further upgrade the level of cooperation between our countries, both in the trade and economic and humanitarian spheres, particularly in promoting the Forum of Slavic Cultures headquartered in Ljubljana.

"We are ready to continue constructive dialogue with you on topical bilateral and international issues in the interests of our nations, stability and security in Europe."
