Prime Minister Vladimir Putin signed a resolution on establishing a Council of General and Chief Designers, Leading Scientists and Experts in the High-Tech Sector under the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation
In order to effectively realise the state policy on the development of science and technologies, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin signed Government Resolution No. 754 of October 13, 2008, which instructs:
1. To establish a Council of General and Chief Designers, Leading Scientists and Experts in the High-Tech Sector under the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and approve its staff.
2. The council's objectives as a consultative body are to analyse and provide consultation services on the condition and development of Russia's industries, structure, innovation and scientific and technical policy, using the scientific and technical potential of industries to develop Russia's economy, and participate in expert examination of scientific and technical, investment and other programmes, drafts and proposals, introduced to the Russian Government.
