Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sends greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the National Amateur Ice Hockey Festival

The message reads, in part:

"First of all, I would like to say a few words of praise to our most famous hockey veterans. Thanks to their enthusiasm, distinguished authority and responsible attitude to the promotion of sports in our country, this large-scale project took place and brought together a huge, friendly team of like-minded people from many regions of Russia – people of different professions, ages and interests. Today, the Russian Amateur Hockey League can be proud of the great and popular work done over time and its weighty role in the consolidation of the Russian hockey community.

I am convinced that the festival will find its own traditions, will become a vivid, extraordinary event in the calendar of sporting events, and will be memorable for its interesting games, meetings and its special, truly festive atmosphere."
