Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sends greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the 23rd Conference of the Association of Russian Banks
The message reads, in part:
"Since its inception, your prestigious forum, distinguished by its extensive business programme, has earned the deserved respect and recognition of the experts. This is perfectly logical since year in year out your discussions here focus on the most crucial issues facing the Russian financial system. Today, under the motto of enhancing the role of the banks in driving economic growth in Russia, the conference delegates will discuss such important and topical subjects as attracting long-term investment, actively promoting the creation of high-tech industries, and supporting small and medium-sized businesses. And of course one of the most pressing issues is improving public access to banking services, including mortgage lending.
"I would like to point out that the state will continue to take all necessary measures to maintain the stability of the national financial system and ensure the stable operation of the banking institutions."
