Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sends greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the 1st Conference of Emergency Medicine Doctors
The message reads, in part:
"I consider your conference a timely and important initiative, and a real step toward consolidating the medical community in order to resolve urgent professional issues. I would like to stress that the tremendously important job of organising and staging the forum was conducted by the Research and Practical Society of Emergency Doctors and the Sklifosovsky Research Institute of Emergency Aid. For nearly 90 years, this institute has been an acknowledged leader in providing accessible, highly-skilled emergency medical care in our country. Many generations of the institute's staff, including its doctors, researchers, and specialists, have contributed greatly to the theory and practice of treating the sick and injured. That is why the legendary Sklif brand is famous in Russia and far beyond.
I am convinced that Russian doctors must not only make full use of this rich and invaluable experience, but also build on it, applying new, modern, and effective approaches toward the development of such a multidisciplinary and socially important sphere of healthcare as emergency medicine."
