Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sends a message of greetings to the delegates and visitors of the National Forum of Forestry Sector Workers
The message reads, in part:
"I am happy to greet the delegates and visitors of the National Forum of Forestry Sector Workers.
"The forum addresses crucial issues of the national forestry sector, reviewing its main achievements and charting a development strategy for the future. The sector's economic potential must be used more effectively, and the management system and legislation in this area must improve. Naturally, we must also preserve forest resources and their regeneration.
"It is vital that, apart from top executives from specialised ministries and departments and leading timber industry sector companies, your discussion involves highly respected scientists and experts, as well as civil society representatives.
"I am confident that the forum will serve as a platform for constructive dialogue and exchange of opinions, and that it will help advance practical recommendations and highly relevant proposals."
