Prime Minister Vladimir Putin expresses condolences over the death of Yakub Koblev, Merited Coach of the USSR and rector of the Institute of Physical Training and Judo of Adygea State University
The message reads, in part:
"Mr Koblev was a top class professional, coach and instructor, the founder of the world famous Maikop Judo and Sambo School. He authored many outstanding pages in the history of national sport and trained a whole galaxy of talented athletes who brought glory to our country at many prestigious championships and tournaments.
"Mr Koblev's relatives, colleagues and students will always cherish the memory of this extraordinary, creative and enthusiastic man and true patriot."
