Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sends his greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the founding meeting of the volunteer movement National Popular Front in support of the Army, Navy and the Defence Industry
The message reads, in part:
"The establishment of your public organisation is a vitally important and beneficial event. Volunteerism is designed to unite defence company workforces, veterans, youth organisations, military patriotic clubs, scientists, engineers, designers, and people of various other professions, ages and political persuasions – everyone who is proud of Russia and its heroic pages of history and who seeks to make a personal contribution to strengthening the defence of our country and take real action to promote its prestige around the world.
"Building powerful Armed Forces, an effective defence and military patriotic education, are, without exaggeration, issues of national scope, and tackling them requires the closest possible partnership between the state and society, involving all citizens of Russia."
