Vladimir Putin sends greetings to participants, organisers and guests of the third official presentation of the Russian professional cycling team Katusha
The message reads, in part:
"Greetings to all participants, organisers and guests of this festive occasion devoted to the start of the 2012 season for the Russian cycling team, Katusha. Katusha already gave its fans a present this year by giving an outstanding performance in the Tour Down Under. I know you have a lot of difficult training and elite competitions ahead and I sincerely wish that luck will be on your side and that you will always remain a leader and achieve your goals.
"And, of course, I would like to highlight the huge and in-demand work which is done by Russian business to implement a socially important project to support Russian cycling. This initiative has been aimed at developing child and youth sport, better maintaining training facilities, and promoting a healthy lifestyle rather than simply supporting professional teams. Such energetic activity is a shining example of the serious and responsible attitude toward resolving nationwide tasks and deserves great recognition."
