Prime Minister Vladimir Putin congratulates current and former workers in the energy industry on their professional holiday, Energy Workers’ Day
The message reads, in part:
"The energy industry is rightfully considered one of the key sectors, one of the most strategically important for the national economy. The national industrial and agrarian growth potential as well as improvement of the country's social infrastructure, the living standards of our citizens and the competitiveness of the investment and business climate, depend to a large extent on the efficient work of industry workers.
"You are currently facing serious and urgent tasks. Above all, these consist of the technical and technological re-equipment of production and boosting its energy efficiency, as well as introducing advanced environmental regulations. Particular attention should certainly be focused on training skilled personnel and on the creation of modern jobs."
