Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sends a message of congratulations to Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov on the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s independence

The message reads, in part:

"Over the past two decades, Kazakhstan has achieved impressive success in establishing state institutions, fulfilling large-scale tasks of socioeconomic development and strengthening the country's position on the international arena. The consistent efforts on the part of Kazakh leaders in accelerating the integration process in Eurasia and promoting multilateral cooperation between regional alliances have earned you deserved recognition.

Russian-Kazakh relations have always been friendly and constructive. They are marked by a high intensity of bilateral dialogue at every level, a close and mutually beneficial partnership in the trade and economic sector, the scientific and technical sector and others, as well as cooperation in various other spheres."
