Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sends message of congratulations to current and former employees of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant on the company’s 70th anniversary

The message reads, in part:

"This impressive anniversary has come about because of the work of many generations of dedicated designers, engineers and workers. They are professionals who have made a substantial contribution to the establishment and development of the company and to the entire domestic auto industry.

"I would like to note that the company's employees appreciate the wonderful traditions of their predecessors and continue to develop and introduce state-of-the-art technology with products that show a consistent increase in quality and competitiveness. Today you produce vehicles that meet stringent safety, reliability and environmental standards.
