"The Russian cooperative movement has a long and rich history. It has always been instrumental in the country's economic development, in strengthening its agrarian potential and resolving serious social problems. It is gratifying that you have preserved the traditions developed by generations of your predecessors and are making a significant contribution to developing a market with quality goods and services, creating modern jobs in rural areas and ensuring respect for consumer rights. You also continue to search for new ways to achieve these goals.

For my part, I would like to assure you that the Russian government will continue to support the cooperative movement and its multifaceted activities that enjoy such substantial demand."
