Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sends greetings to guests and participants at “The Past, Present and Future of Russian Science,” the Russian Academy of Sciences’ Assembly of Young Scientists

The message reads, in part:

"I am sure that professional and personal qualities such as scientific daring and optimism, the courage to think outside the box and to set goals for oneself are even more valuable today than ever before. They help us make achievements and breakthrough discoveries. Energy and tenacity are even more characteristic of you, the young generation of Russian researchers. The future of Russian science, successful innovation for the national economy, and the country's leading positions all depend on your dynamic and productive work. I do believe that this assembly that includes representatives from so many branches is a suitable format for an in-depth discussion of issues of relevance for the young scientific community, for outlining the most pressing subjects and for taking a fresh look at possible solutions.

"I would like to stress that the country sees the creation of proper conditions for the productive work of young researchers, for career opportunities and for the realisation of their intellectual potential as a priority. Solving current social objectives is definitely of key importance."
