Prime Minister Vladimir Putin congratulates Federal Customs Service employees on their professional holiday, Customs Officer Day, and the 20th anniversary of establishing Russian Federation customs agencies

The message reads, in part:

"Over the years, the Federal Customs Service and its territorial divisions have made substantial and significant accomplishments in the implementation of relevant state policy, and in facilitating legal regulation, control and oversight in the customs sphere. The best representatives of the service are invariably distinguished by their impressive professionalism, their dedication to their duty and their personal integrity.

"The Federal Customs Service today is a modern and rapidly developing organisation that utilises the most advanced technologies, forms and methods of work. The sustained accumulation of budgetary revenues and the creation of a favourable business environment largely depend on the experience and competence of its employees, and on their responsible approach to set objectives. In general, competent work of the customs agencies contributes to strengthening Russia's economy, as well as its expanded trade and business ties with its foreign partners."
