Vladimir Putin sends a message of greetings to the participants and guests at the closing ceremony of the professional contest “Educator of the Year of Russia – 2011”
The message reads, in part:
"I'm happy that you have carried out your topical and innovative project that has occupied a niche in the calendar of important events in the life of the professional community. This contest has become not only a serious creative test for the best specialists, but has also established itself as an open, prestigious venue for discussing urgent issues of general interest, exchanging experience and conducting friendly, informal communication. Of course, this forum promotes the preservation of wonderful traditions and the effective development of domestic preschool education and the buildup of important scientific, methodological and human resource potential.
I'd like to emphasise once again that the consolidation of the system of preschool education, the provision of its quality and accessibility, and the enhancement of the social status of the employees of kindergartens and other educational institutions are major priorities of our government policy."
