Vladimir Putin sends a message of greetings to the delegates and guests at the 6th Conference of the Russian Union of Theatre Workers
The message reads, in part:
"This country justifiably takes pride in the history and traditions of its national theatre, its world famous schools and an array of outstanding producers and actors. Therefore, the forums of the Union of Theatre Workers invariably evoke a broad public response and attract much attention not only from theatre professionals but also from the many lovers of the theatre.
"This conference has gathered delegates from various Russian regions including prominent cultural figures, representatives of the creative elite and directors from higher educational institutions. I am sure you will conduct a meaningful and productive discussion on the development of theatre art, the implementation of important creative, educational and charitable projects and the resolution of urgent social issues."
