Prime Minister Vladimir Putin congratulates agribusiness professionals on the Day of Agriculture and Processing Industry Workers
The message of congratulations reads, in part:
"Russia's development and the improvement of the quality of life largely depend on the stable and well co-ordinated work at all levels of the national agribusiness. I would like to emphasise that in recent years agribusiness has accomplished considerable results. The output of key agroindustrial products has been growing, large investment projects have been implemented and Russian farmers have achieved new successes. Today, it is necessary to consolidate these positive trends and to focus the government's and business community's efforts on the efficient modernisation of agribusiness to make it a competitive hi-tech sector of the national economy. One of the state policy priorities is to improve rural social infrastructure, build modern housing and create new jobs. I am confident that professionalism, experience and loyalty to the best farming traditions, as well as your love for your homeland will continue to help you in your important and highly needed work for the benefit of Russia.
