Prime Minister Vladimir Putin congratulates Wen Jiabao, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, on the 62nd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China
The message reads, in part:
"We are always glad to hear about the successful socio-economic reforms in the friendly China. Its dynamic development and effective foreign policy contribute to the growing prosperity of the Chinese people and strengthening of the global stability and security.
Our countries have enjoyed an unparalleled partnership. Our bilateral dialogue is based on trust and strategic cooperation; we continue to deepen the mutually beneficial ties between our states in politics, trade and economy, science and research, and humanitarian initiatives. Recently, our countries have successfully celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Chinese-Russian Friendship and Cooperation Treaty.
Regular meetings between the Russian and Chinese head of governments is an important prerequisite for our cooperation. I believe that the upcoming talks will see a positive development in the contractual basis of our relations and further progress in various joint projects. Clearly, it serves the interests of the friendly states of Russia and China."
